Setup modem error:
"A dialup connection has not been configured. You will not be able to use your phone as an alarm."
You might receive this message when attempting to set - Options>Use phone. When attempting to set the use phone option; if a dialup modem has not been configured, the program will present you with a dialog enabling you to choose from a list of modems configured on your system. If no modems have been configured on your system - or - you click cancel in the dialog you will receive the message above and you will not be able to use your phone as an alarm.
There are a number of reasons why this might happen:
1)There is no modem on your system, in which case your only option is to have a dialup modem fitted or not use the dialup alarm features of the program.
2)There is a modem on your system but it hasn't been configured. For instructions on how to install and configure a modem you need to consult your Windows documentation. To find the appropriate topic, in Windows click Start>Help and search for "configure an installed modem" without quotes. There are full instructions there on how to set up your modem.
