- Fixed a problem where the sound would continue playing if a sequence
was interrupted prematurely.
2.11.1.6 Changes:
- Added the capability to repeat/loop sequences for a definable number of
iterations. Setting up loops is a lot easier than defining dozens of timers
which just repeat a pattern. Loops can be paused but subsequent iterations will
reflect the length of time paused. Set under the Options menu.
- A conflict with the hot keys on the popup menu would prevent the 'Inhibit'
function that enables you to send one member of a group to the back. See the
'Popup menu' help topic.
- Search index added to the help file.
2.10.1.19 Changes
- The program now uses HTML help (*.chm files) in preparation for Windows
vista compatibility. If the program persists in using the old help file, delete
the file TikTokCook.hlp from the folder the program is installed to.
- If the program can't find the sound files for timers it will now look in
the file folder before resorting to the default sound. This is to enable
transferring a file to another machine along with any sounds used. So long
as they are in the same folder as the ttctmr file the program will find them.
- New item in the 'Options' menu - 'Repeat sound' (off by default). This allows
the sound to be continuously looped or not depending on its checked state. This
item will not be visible if Options>'Short menus' is checked.
2.9.2.15 Changes:
- Minor changes to the 'Check for updates' menu item which is only available to
licensed users
2.9.2.1 Changes:
- The small white circles above selected timers weren't displaying properly when
minimalized - fixed.
- Solved some theming problems on Windows XP whereby the Show times before/after arrow
wouldn't change and the add 1:4 buttons wouldn't display properly when clicked.
- Stopped the properties dialog from scaling which caused some of the text to be
misaligned or truncated.
- Changed the width of the scale drop down to display 'Fit on Screen' properly.
- Minor changes to make sure text displays properly in some dialogs.
2.9.1.6 Changes:
- No significant changes, just updated the help file and added some tutorials.
2.9.1.3 Changes:
- The schedule text would sometimes be blank - fixed.
- Fixed some issues with the toolbar not retaining its visibility in normal view (not minimalized).
- Window not resizing properly when changing font size - fixed.
- Changes to the installer so that the help file appears behind the main program.
- Minor cosmetic changes.
- Changed so that the tips dialog only shows after the program has been run twice.
- Removed the evaluation days left from the timer display area.
- Recoded so that the main window isn't very small with no timers set.
- Removed the progress bar from the toolbar and replaced it with one aligned
above the status bar. Its visibility can be set from the view menu.
- The new progress bar now shows the timer status: stopped, paused or running,
it's no longer displayed in the main timer panel.
- Modified so that the previous visibility of the clock, toolbar and new
progress bar is retained after minimalizing the display.
- Moved the Action>Start/Stop menu item to the top of the menu as it probably
gets used more than anything else.
- Recoded the prompt 'show again' dialogs to include a check box rather than a
separate dialog.
Note: If you're upgrading a licensed version, messages you've previously chosen to
not show again will reappear due to the new prompt dialog.
2.7.1.96 Changes:
2.7.1.96 Changes:
- No significant functional difference, just a bit of tidying up.
2.7.1.93 Changes:
- The 'Next Alarm' text wouldn't change if the current alarm wasn't set as a
dialog alarm - fixed.
- Changed code so that the alarm dialog will show even if the main window is
minimized. To restore the main window when it's in this state you need to right
click over the task bar button and select restore, just clicking on it won't work. Don't
ask, I don't know. I'll try to find a solution to this in time.
- If an 'Auto start' file was opened, subsequent premature closing of the program
would store 'Auto start' as the default even if Options>Auto>Start was unchecked.
The result being that the program would be in the auto start state next time it was run
- fixed.
- Moved the {menu}Options>Auto>Start to {menu}File>'Auto start'. It is
an 'option' of course but it's closely tied in with how files are saved. Having it on the file
menu makes it more obvious that that is the case.
2.7.1.24 Changes:
- The newly added 'Time' dialog would show false dates if timers were added while the
sequence was running - fixed.
- If the sequence was cleared while it was running, subsequent attempts to start would
fail - fixed.
2.7.1.21 Changes:
- Added a shortcut for full screen zoom (View>Scale>Fit screen) - Ctrl+F.
- Display not re sizing when a timer was pasted from the clipboard - fixed.
- The label above a moving timer would show odd dates (the time was correct) when
the time from start was beyond one day and the sequence was stopped - fixed.
- Stopped the zoom level from resetting to 100% when changing time spans. It now stays
at whatever it was set at unless a file is opened which stores the zoom level.
- Changed the order of the timer hint and next message portion (they're one and the same)
in the dialog alarm as the 'message' which is probably more important than the
sound and other information, would generally be out of view unless scrolled.
- Removed the 'Next Alarm:' text from the lower section (black) of the alarm dialog
to make maximum use of the available space. The lower portion hint now shows
'Next alarm'.
- Added Timer>Time and Popup menu>Time menu items. Allows you to set individual
timer times without using the (rather confusing) properties dialog.
2.6.5.50 Changes:
- Minor change to the height when minimalized. It now takes account of whether the horizontal
scroll bar is visible. This usually only applies when the scale is greater than 100%.
- Paste item on the popup menu not visible when items on clipboard - fixed.
- Some changes to the way the window re sizes. When maximized it now only occupies as much height as is needed.
- Added an item to the scale options - 'Fit screen'. This expands the display to the
screen width giving you maximum control while keeping all of the display visible.
- Updated some of the tips.
- Changed the icon on the +1..+4 buttons to a clock with 1..4 on it. Seems what they were for
was none too obvious.
- The executable file tiktokcook.exe is now signed as well as the installation file.
2.6.5.17 Changes:
- Options>Snap now shows when Options>'Short menus' is checked.
- Fixed a problem whereby the sound wouldn't cancel when Options>'Play sound on start' was
selected.
- Shrunk the View>'Minimal display' a bit more (Ctrl+D to toggle).
- Stopped the clock on the status bar when the sequence is stopped in minimal display
mode. Otherwise it's difficult to tell if the sequence is running for long
time spans.
- Changed the description of the alarm message body. It was previously called
Caption/Text but this conflicted somewhat with the recently added 'Title' property for
timers. Menu items reflect the change.
- The alarm dialog would indicate it was showing the next message (lower half) when
in fact it would be showing the last alarm unless Options>Alarm Text>'Next Alarm' was
checked - fixed.
2.6.5.1 Changes:
- Fixed a problem with dialogs hiding behind the main window, in particular the schedule
dialog which would hide when the save button was clicked.
- Fixed a few popup menu irregularities.
- The Options>Auto>'Reset origin' menu item was ineffective the result being that
the program would always reset the origin once 'now' got past 3/4 the width. - fixed.
- Added a popup menu to hide the clock at the bottom of the window.
- Changed the schedule text for hourly alarms from ...at to ...from as it
was a little confusing seeing at: 16:00 with an alarm going off at 15:00.
- Changed the code that assigns the file name to the re open items to minimize the name
such as C:\...\FileName.ttctmr as long file names can sometimes be a little
difficult to read.
- Moved the Options>'Show clock' (shows the clock at the bottom of the window) menu
item to the View menu.
- Changed the caption in the alarms dialog to 'Messages'.
- The Options>'Timers sound' wasn't being applied to new timers - fixed.
- Changed the Options>'Timers sound' to 'Default timer sound' as it better
describes what it is.
- Fixed some conflicting Alt+ hot keys on the Options menu.
- Added items under the View menu to reduce the display to its bare minimum to
save desktop space (shortcut Ctrl+D) - Full/Minimal display and Show/Hide
toolbar. The toolbar hides automatically if Minimal display is selected.
There's also a popup menu to hide the toolbar.
2.5.5.15 Changes:
- Fixed a bug causing an access violation introduced in 2.5.5.1.
- Fixed a problem with dialogs hiding behind the main window, in particular the schedule
dialog which would hide when the save button was clicked.
2.5.5.1 Changes:
- Added Gas mark to degrees Fahrenheit and Celsius to the unit converter.
- Removed unused alarm types from the printout.
2.4.5.94 Changes:
- There is now a scheduler accessed from Accessories>Scheduler
- Timer properties can now be modified from the Timer and popup menus on an
individual basis rather than having to open the properties dialog.
- Alarms can now be set individually. The previous 'Options>Alarm type' menu
item now sets the default for new alarms. It does not affect existing alarms.
- Added the option to display the next due alarm. If selected via 'Options>Alarm text...'
it will display in the top left corner of the timer display unless there are any
dialog alarms in which case it will be displayed in the new lower section of the
dialog alarm.
- The font for the dialog alarms can now be set when the dialog is displayed by right
clicking in the dialog.
- The date setter in the properties dialog is replaced by a spin edit when the sequence is
stopped. This avoids the rather confusing display of 1899 when the sequence is stopped.
- Modified code to give the option of applying changes to all timers in a group if the selected
timer being modified belongs to a group.
- A number of idiosyncrasies have been fixed.
2.2.4.27: The Options menu now has an Auto item with sub items: Start, Reset origin
(resets the origin if the next timer isn't the last and the time indicator arrows are greater than
3⁄4 of the panel width.) and Delete spent which automatically deletes timers after they have
fired. The state of all these options are saved on exit.
2.2.3.49: Enhanced popup menu for the properties name/caption edit. This
allows you to set the size of the dialog alarm without triggering an alarm and puts back the Cut,
Copy, Paste items etc., missing in the previous update.
Added a warning when creating a new workspace (File>New) when one or more timers have yet to expire.
Previous:
This release enables sizing of the dialog alarm and selection of the dialog alarm font size. To change the font size
use the main menu>Font size>Dialog or in the timer properties dialog, right click over the Name/Caption edit
space for a font popup menu. The selected font and size/position of the dialog will be remembered.
